Hours before the sun came up, I packed into my 4Runner and made the drive from Denver to the Great Sand Dunes to meet Kelsey and Scott for their sunrise engagement session. These two adventurers had flew in from Long Island, rented a camper van and were road tripping around the great state of Colorado. I was lucky enough to capture their engagement session at one of my favorite places and finally meet them in-person before their wedding next year (that’ll be in good ol’ CO).

They were so go-with-the-flow, laid back and thoughtful. They even gifted my dog, Tuss, with an embroidered dog bandana! So it’s safe to say they forever have a very special place in my heart.

As we hiked around the dunes, the sky went from cotton-candy to blue, and the sun crept over mountain range ever so bright and warm. I admire how Kelsey and Scott have a comfortable love towards one another. They genuinely fit like puzzle pieces and it’s a type of love that embraces the adventure in front of them. I’m so happy to be a piece of their journey together and for their wedding in the mountains next year. To you, Kelsey + Scott.
